Mankato MoonDogs Identity Concept
Mankato Minnesota, home to over 40,000 people, contains extensive cycling trails, open country roads, downhill slopes and river rapids. Mankato has just the right combination of small town feel and thriving regional center. Mankato is a hub for arts, entertainment, shopping and nightlife. And it’s all so close. Just a short 75 miles from Minneapolis, Mankato is an easily accessible Minnesota destination of choice. The city also plays host to the Northwoods League Baseball Club - The Mankato MoonDogs. The team started play in 1999 as the Mankato Mashers and were renamed in 2002. Making the Northwoods League Playoffs numerous times in recent years, Mankato is determined to keep moving forward. The MoonDogs have been active in the Mankato community with frequent player and mascot appearances at local events and through the MoonDogs Fit Program. A team fitting of the poeple of Mankato, deserves a visual brand fitting of that team. By updating the identity of the MoonDogs, we can show both the city of Mankato, and the entire Northwoods League, that the MoonDogs value their historic past, the people and families of Mankato, and embrace the future of their organization.
